I'm Russ Shumaker
I started my career at an award-winning agency in Los Angeles, writing 1 million words per year for a dozen nationally recognized clients and generating tens of millions in revenue.

Then I went brand side and led marketing for a $310M business unit, growing revenue by nearly 50%, before branching out to start On Belay Management Consulting.

Along the way, I earned an MBA at Pepperdine University and an MA at Fuller Theological Seminary.
I've lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Nashville, and San Antonio, but currently call Indianapolis home.
